This is a live test of the W3C PFWG's aria-owns example, with code corrections to address JavaScript errors. See also the same example without aria-owns.

This example works well because the focus is well-controlled by JavaScript. However, the presence of aria-owns itself does not seem to contribute anything meaningful. Tested with VoiceOver in Mac OS X 10.8.5 (Mountain Lion) using Safari 6.1.4; and NVDA 2014.2 and JAWS 15 in both Firefox 29 and Internet Explorer 11.
